Child and Youth Profile Event
At AdoptOntario, we believe in the importance of the wellbeing and happiness of young people and this motivates us to find warm and supportive adoptive homes for every child and youth. Families at any stage in their adoption journey are welcome to attend!
On June 16th, 2021, AdoptOntario is hosting a free webinar to educate our community on adoption as well as to learn about one particular child in care that is waiting for his adoptive family. Join us for an evening of education to learn more about how you can help provide a family—and all that family brings—to this amazing child.
Let us tell you a bit about Jim: It's true that the sea lives in every one of us. In Jim's case, he is most at home when underwater. He takes swimming lessons and loves any time spent in the water. When on dry land, you’re likely to find this happy, outgoing young man giggling (and you’ll likely find yourself laughing along). He dances gleefully with his foster mom. While Jim does not communicate verbally, he picks up on verbal instructions with ease. He lets others know his needs by using gestures, some sign language, and thumbs up/down. Recently, played on the local special needs’ hockey team! Jim will need a single or two-parent family who can be strong advocates for him and are open to learning about supporting his unique needs.
