AdoptOntario is pleased to invite you to a Child and Youth Profile Night on January 26th, 2022. This is an opportunity for you to learn about two amazing brothers who are waiting for an adoptive family.
The evening will begin with an educational presentation by Autism Ontario. We will have an open discussion about what it means to be diagnosed with autism, how to support a child who is on the spectrum, and some of the supports available to parents across the province. We will then open the floor to anyone who has questions about supporting a child or may require additional resources and information. This presentation will be led by Stefanie Molica, Intake Specialist at Autism Ontario.
Meet the Youth
These wonderful eleven-year-old twins share a close and unique sibling bond. They have many similar interests including their love for swimming and the outdoors.
The twins are described as being very loving, endearing and affectionate young boys. Kevin loves the water, playing with ribbons, jumping on the trampoline and being outside. He is most content when at the beach or in the water. Jason is most himself when he is on the water, relaxing and waiting for his next big catch. He absolutely loves fishing, swimming, playing at the beach or riding his bike. Inquisitive and curious, he enjoys learning about how things work and how they are made.
Jason and Kevin will require a one or two-parent home with parents who are committed to attachment and trauma-based parenting to support them through the difficult losses in their lives. The boys will flourish in a family who loves being outdoors, in and around the water and fishing or into the trades where they are constantly learning new things. Both children would benefit from caregivers with strong advocacy skills in working with special needs children and special needs services for education and supports in the community.

What to Expect at Our Child and Youth Profile Night
Following an educational presentation by Autism Ontario, you will learn more about two brothers who are seeking an adoptive family, as well as information and resources about permanency and adoption. A presentation will be led by an AdoptOntario Clinical Coordinator, and will be accompanied by the youth's adoption worker. They will provide you with information about the boys' interests, personality, needs, supports, and what a permanency family would look like for them. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions and to have them answered live by their adoption worker.
