Yvette likes to show her athletic prowess, especially when playing her favourite sports, badminton and basketball. The great outdoors often call to her, as she enjoys riding her bike and going camping. An active family who loves adventures would be a great fit for Yvette.

When Yvette is around, you may be treated to some melodic tunes on the piano. Ever the go-getter, Yvette likes to watch YouTube® videos to learn how to play new songs. Cooking and art are other fun, creative outlets for her, and she enjoys being a part of the cooking and anime clubs at school.

YVETTE BELIEVES...

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Personality Academics

Dynamic and engaging, Yvette is really excited to have a family of her own. She absolutely lights up when talking about her many interests and blossoms when she receives caring and nurturing attention. Soft spoken and polite, Yvette is described by her foster mother as a positive problem solver, assertive, yet very kind and considerate towards others.

At school, Yvette takes academic level courses where an Individual Education Plan helps her reach her goals. Yvette is dedicated to her studies and is committed to pursuing post-secondary education. She dreams of attending university where she can pursue a career in video game development and animation.

Openness Matching Considerations

Yvette does not have significant contact with her birth family, but does have a relationship with a godfather and with a family friend that is like an aunt to her. She has some sporadic long distance contact with her mother who lives outside of the country. Yvette would like to stay connected with friends through social media.

Yvette is hoping for a mother and a father as she has never experienced either in a significant way, but is open to the right match even if it doesn't meet this characteristic. She is open to having older siblings that she could go to for some support and bonding outside of her parents. Yvette would do best without younger siblings as she truly needs to develop a sense of belonging and would benefit from the one-to-one attention her parents could give her as the youngest child in the house.

Yvette is open to a family who is of different ethnicity than she is, but the ideal family would include at least one parent of Asian descent.

Special Considerations Questions?

Yvette needs a family who will cheer her on and guide her. Regular dialogue with her adoptive parents will be important to ensure that she can express and process her thoughts and feelings. Yvette would benefit from therapy to assist her in developing a healthy self-image, and self-esteem.
