ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Personality Academics

This comedic boy can be very silly, as he loves to laugh. At times, he can be mischievous in a playful way. Trevor is generally in a happy and bubbly mood.

Trevor often needs redirection in newer situations because he will test boundaries. He thrives from routine and structure – he is learning to be more patient and less impulsive. Trevor requires close supervision and continuous hands on support since he does not identify safety risks. He does not present with stranger anxiety and can often be fearless in new environments

With a great appetite, Trevor loves to eat. Although, he may be particular with textures of certain types of food.

Trevor benefits from a one-on-one worker to help with his learning, as he is not developing at the same rate as his peers. He requires help with early numeracy and early literacy and is making progress at school. He is developing sign language and can say single words. He uses specific programs on his iPad to help with daily activities.

Openness Special Considerations

Ideally, Trevor will maintain some contact with his foster family on an informal basis.

Trevor is working with speech and language professionals to assist with expressive and receptive language development. He is also involved in occupational therapy to assist with sensory processing, attention/organization and fine motor skills. During his physical therapy sessions, he is working on balance, gross motor skills: strengthening, coordination and range of motion.

Trevor’s family will need to be patient and work closely with a team of professionals.

Matching Considerations Questions?

Trevor will do best with a family who is able to provide a lot of support and on-going supervision throughout his life in helping him reach his full potential.

His family will need to assist him with expressive and receptive language, daily living such as feeding and dressing, early numeracy and literacy, social interactions, safety and sensory needs.
